Smoke Gets in Your Eyes

This sounds like my kind of addict:
The world’s first face transplant recipient is using her new lips to take up smoking again, which doctors fear could interfere with her healing and raise the risk of tissue rejection.
Who wouldn’t start smoking again after a face transpant? Anybody?

off topic: i am sure you noticed that Thursday’s front page top left article in the NYT was about Cisneros and the death of the investigation into him. How many years and how much $? That, was the top story of the day? Not the allegations of day traders operating in the offices of Frist and DeLay, not the closing of the comments section of the Washington Post, still no front page coverage of Gore’s speech, but an eight year old failed investigation of a Democrat. I do fear for all of us.

I did notice some of those things, but thanks for posting it. I’m all for off topic when the wrong topic is better than the right one.
