Saturday Beer Blogging on Monday

Celis White, brewed by Michigan Brewing Company in Webberville Michigan.
This is a very tasty and tangy, Belgian style wheat beer which, at just under $10 a six pack, is a pretty decent bargain. I meant to post this a month ago when it was fresher in my mind, but for whatever reason, didn’t. I decided to point it out now because I can’t think of anything to write and Summer is coming to a close. In my mind, wheat beers are the perfect summer drink and this one would be a good start for anybody who hasn’t tried one yet.

Saturday beer blogging on Monday? You are just such the rebel. But I concur, why should beer blogging be confined to just one day a week?

On a recent return to visit family in Philadelphia,
I searched for a beer called “Arrogant Bastard.”
I found it by the case in Brewers Outlet
on Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill
– 22oz bottles; $40/case (pass) —
and by the bottle in that Belgian restaurant
between Front and 2nd on Chestnut
whose one-word name I can’t quite remember,
but the restaurant was closed at that early hour.
So I never got to actually taste it; just chuckle at the packaging.
Have you tried it?
Worth the price of the name on the bottle?

I’m not a big fan of Arrogant Bastard. I’ve had it on tap and it’s never really done much for me, so I’d probably say no.
