I have so little faith in the backbone of the Democratic party, that I can't imagine them throwing a serious challenge to a perceived "consensus" candidate, regardless of the raucous caused by the constituents or the base. The backbone front has improved somewhat since the election, but there is still a very long way to go before I can imagine them having the fortitude to really stand up against anybody south of Dobson. That said, you have a platform here, as well as other places. If you feel like it, use this platform to throw some shit at the wall and see if any of it sticks. Scream until it hurts. Nationally, we got over 300,000 signatures. Now while that won't directly result in Roberts' rejection, it will at least send a clear message to the current administration this will not be allowed to be another case of rubber-stamping.
