Young Republican

My wife took the day off from work today, so I borrowed her car to take myself to work. I’ll tell you what, driving to work really made me feel like a good, wholesome, young Republican. A member of society in solid standing with a job and a car. None of this socialized mass transit BS for me. No, sir. Sadly, a friend decided to rain on my parade and remind me that a good young Republican would have a valid drivers license, something I most definitely lack. Ah, well.

Yo Chris do you need assistance getting yuor license validated? What does PennDOT say?
I am having issues with my license and call them everyday, they seem reasonable but really fucking slow with the paperwork. I was driving without proof of insurance (which i have) and they nailed me with two citations and towed my car because my registration tags were out of date. Then I missed the phila. court hearing which was big mistake due to not changing my address so phila. and PennDOT mail was going to 720 chestnut- hopefully that does not happen again. I need to send them proof I had insurance which is a letter from the insurance company saying I was insured on the dates in question then my license will be OK after sending $50.00. They should have recieved it since my insurance co. sent the paperwork two weeks ago express (1 day) mail but ofcourse PennDOT says they did not get it and insurance co. could not give me a tracking number. Second time I asked the insurance co. to send paperwork,I got the tracking number. Yesterday I know they got it but ofcourse it takes PennDOT 7-10 days to process the paperwork. I’m fucked if I get pulled over. I still have to go to Phila. Traffic Court, I think twice. One is an appeal for the ones I missed to prove I had insurance which save me $700, the other I am not sure about b/c I have not recieved any mail about it- it is probably still going to 720 chestnut although I changed my address with them at 8th and Springarden. So now on Monday I am going into Traffic Court to check for a court date.
I spoke with a lawyer at Traffic Court and he said I did not need a lawyer as long as show with the proof. Another lawyer I spoke to said he could help me for $3000, fuck that.
I really suck at paperwork!!! I wonder why? lol
Registration out of date
Change of address
Court dates
Appeals
Lawyers
what a racket but everybody should drive with insurance so I can’t blame them for being ball busters
Done ranting

You should probably banish that so-called friend from your life. I mean, crushing your dreams of being a young Republican and all. What an utterly cruel and unusual bitch.
