					<description>Well said.  It's definitely difficult to get people jazzed up about the DA's race.  Heck, there's a very important Controller's race that's totally off the radar!</description>

I agree with you big time.  This city, with so many decent, humane people, contains so much potential.  How do we unlock it?  

That is the reason that the collection of blogs we have is so exciting to me.  It is uniting those who otherwise would be seperate.  We have to work to get those offline on, those out of the blogosphere to come in, and then we can truly use places like this to make a difference.</description>

					<description>I'll third the previous comments.  You're right about the local elections being the really important, albeit unglamorous ones.  If we can't get  good people elected at the local level, how in the world can we expect to have decent candidates at the national level.  And well, I'm still hoping that some discontented Democrat or Republican will mobilize sizeable numbers of voters to support a candidate from an alternate party. (Not for this election specifically and I have no answers as to how this should happen, it may just be my pie in the sky dream).  Anyway, good post.&lt;p&gt;So, was it duck for dinner?&lt;/p&gt;
